Havant & South Downs College Combined Cadet Force (CCF) took part in a 32 mile trek over Dartmoor on the 8 April to raise money towards, equipment, adventure activities and to help fund future CCF cadets. They are also promising that 10% of what they raise will go to the Army Benevolent Fund.

Over two days 11 cadets, supported by Martyn Bell and Leaders Sarah Sears, Phill Grimes and Major Dave Love from the Royal Military Police carried all their food, water, first aid and group shelters following in the footsteps of the Royal Marines who use the same route to complete their training and get their green beret.

Martyn Bell, Course Manager Sport and Public Services said:

‘A successful fundraising expedition by and for our Combined Cadet Force and the Army Benevolent Fund. 32 gruelling miles over tough terrain across Dartmoor National Park. Although the weather was good and the sun was shining, Dartmoor remains a wilderness that is a challenge to navigate’.
