If you are keen to gain lots of experience with children alongside your college work, this course provides the perfect combination for you. You will complete a large amount of work experience to enhance your learning, and in college, you will study how children develop and communicate.
By the end of the course, you will understand how to support children’s learning through play as well as the responsibilities of a caring professional.
A desire to work with children, a cleared DBS check and a grade 3 profile at GCSE.
You will study:
250 hours of professional practice required to pass the course.
Lessons in the classroom will include a mixture of formats including group work, individual activities, guest speakers, role plays, using case studies and some formal note-taking sessions.
You will be assessed through a mixture of coursework, placement assessments and professional skills. This course is a great step for anyone looking to progress onto a T Level. You may be able to complete English and Mathematics GCSEs alongside this course.
