There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification however math and English GCSE at grade C or above or Functional skills are advisable. Experience of working in a team leader/supervisory role is desirable though not essential.

The course is classroom based with a series of assignments which will be set over the duration of the course. Learners will have access to digital learning technology to support their classroom studies, and the qualification consists of eight units covering the following themes:

  • Foundations for excellence – Principles of Management and Leadership
  • Interpersonal Excellence – Managing People and Developing Relationship
  • Organisational Performance – Delivering Results (Day to Day Activities)
  • Personal Effectiveness – Managing Self

Lessons are part time, 3 hours, and will combine tutorials, theoretical delivery and assignment workshops to support learners to develop their academic and vocational skills in this subject. The course is staffed by industry specialists with backgrounds in Business, Management and Leadership.

This course is assignment based and will be assessed through assignments set over the duration of the course.

Learners can progress onto a Level 5 qualification in Management and Leadership.
