This qualification is designed to help learners build the essential knowledge and understanding needed to work effectively in the cleaning sector. Through engaging online learning, you will develop practical skills, industry awareness and professional standards that prepare you for employment or progression to further qualifications within the cleaning industry.

The mandatory units are: Dealing with routine and non-routine waste, Health and safety for the cleaning and support services industry, Working with customers and others in the cleaning and support services industry, Safety and infection control for a cleaning context.
Once you have enrolled on the course, you will be allocated a tutor and assigned to your learning platform. An induction will follow and then you will be able to commence your course.
You will be assessed by submitting individual units of work and will receive feedback for each unit as you progress. There is no final exam.
On completion of this course, you will be ready for the workplace or have enhanced your existing work skills. You could progress on to any other distance learning course or look at the Level 3 options.
