Our online, accredited Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Team Leading gives learners the tools they need to motivate teams, manage conflict effectively, and improve performance. It is an excellent stepping stone for individuals aspiring to move into leadership roles or for those looking to strengthen their existing management skills.

There is an expectation that learners would have a minimum of Level 1 English or skills at that level prior to enrolment. To enrol on this Adult Learning course you must be aged 19 years or over.

Covering key areas such as

  • Leadership Styles,
  • Team Dynamics,
  • Performance Management,
  • Communication, and
  • Equality in the Workplace.

The course provides a solid foundation in team leading and management.

Once you have enrolled on the course, you will be allocated a tutor and assigned to your learning platform. An induction will follow and then you will be able to commence your course.

You will be assessed by submitting individual units of work and will receive feedback for each unit as you progress. There is no final exam.

On completion of this course, you will be ready for the workplace or have enhanced your existing work skills. You could progress on to any other distance learning course or look at the Level 3 options.

The staff that will be supporting you through this course have sector expertise.

I overcame a couple of barriers by working really hard to get the top grades. My experience was really good, with the course and the lecturers, the residentials and activities, together it was all really good. I had really great teaching support, I could always go to the lecturers and speak to them if I needed to.

David Stenning, Public Services student

I’m really happy and pleased with my grades. I really loved my time at the college, I have also made lots of friends, it’s a really nice place to be, I don’t want to leave.

Lauren Piper, A Level student

I would say it’s a college that really balances academia with fun, there is lots of extra-curricular stuff that you can get involved in. It has a really good work/life balance.

Laura Hagedorn, A Level student
