We all know what it’s like to feel stressed – being under pressure is a normal part of life, but becoming overwhelmed by stress can lead to mental health problems or make existing problems worse. Due to an increase in negative media coverage in recent years, the need for mental health awareness and support is now greater than ever.
This course is split into five manageable units which will not only provide you with a more comprehensive understanding of mental health, but they will also give you the knowledge required to work in a variety of roles within both the mental health and social care sector.
Ideally you will have completed Level 2 Mental Health Awareness or be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of ability to undertake a Level 3 qualification.
On this online course, you will study the following units:
All learning will take place using an interactive distance learning platform with a virtual tutor and an HSDC assessor, who will be on hand for any queries and will mark your assessments and provide you with feedback.
You will be assessed through online assessments.
HSDC offers several other Level 3 Health Care Distance Learning opportunities, or your newly developed skills could help gain employment in a Senior Clinical Support Role or as a Senior Healthcare Assistant or Mental Health Support Worker.
