I always knew what I wanted to do since leaving school but knew I would never be quite old enough to apply. It was then that I set out my plan to go to College and study Travel and Tourism for two years followed by the Cabin Crew course which would take me just over my 18th birthday. The Cabin Crew course really helped me a lot because terminology was used daily and all the basics I learned at College I applied into my actual airline job at British Airways. Without the course I don’t think I’d be where I am today. I’ve now been flying for five years and have worked my way up to be able to be in charge as the senior on board an aircraft. Working for BA has also given me so many opportunities such as being in the new TV advert ‘Made by Britain’ for the centenary year. You can achieve anything you want to as long as you put your mind to it. The Cabin Crew course at HSDC is an opportunity for you to take in all the basic information ready to apply it in future airline jobs.Sophie Fox
