You’ll also study health and safety practice, client care and communication, and salon reception duties. For this course, the dress code is very important so you’ll need to be in full uniform at all times and bring your kit to all practical classes.

Practical assessments will be performed on paying clients to ensure competence. Oral
questioning will take place at the time of practical assessment. All practical assessments are graded as a Pass, Merit or Distinction. You are required to keep a record of achievement log book as evidence of treatments performed. Theoretical work including anatomy and physiology will be assessed using online testing or assignments.

This course requires you to purchase a uniform and kit and we include trips to enhance your learning and experience of industry. All of these costs will be explained at interview and students in receipt of financial assistance will be supported with these costs.

Once the course is completed you have the opportunity to apply to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Beauty. The teaching and support was absolutely brilliant, they couldn’t have done anything more or anything better, if I had any questions my lecturers would always stay behind to help me if I needed it and their emails were always open, it was second to none. This college is the best by far.
