There will also be the chance to participate in residential trips within the UK and Europe. The College has extensive facilities, which include a purpose-built climbing wall, a fleet of kayaks and canoes, surfboards, an outdoor store and more, to help learning with the adventurous activities. There will be a focus on you gaining real-life experience by undertaking work placements to understand the demands of working within this sector. A large part of this course focuses on skill progression within a range of activities but will also require a level of commitment from you to advance your own development outside of the normal college time, to make you more employable.

My experience at the college was enjoyable and productive, with thoroughly helpful people surrounding you, an excellent experience. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was, with the work shop time and experience I had, it was a great two years preparing me for the next stage.

Edward Smith, BTEC student

I overcame a couple of barriers by working really hard to get the top grades. My experience was really good, with the course and the lecturers, the residentials and activities, together it was all really good. I had really great teaching support, I could always go to the lecturers and speak to them if I needed to.

David Stenning, Public Services student

Everyone at the College was really helpful, and there’s lots of facilities, meaning it’s very easy to get your work done on time, and get good grades. The teaching and support was excellent, they were always on top of it, and made sure you got work done on time and you were challenged. Everyone is friendly and its really diverse, meaning you can get involved in lots of different things.
