Retraining and Upskilling the Solent’s Workforce
Welcome to our Skills Bootcamp, a unique opportunity to gain essential skills in Software Development. Solent Partners has successfully secured funding from the Department for Education (DfE) to support the running of Skills Bootcamps in the Solent region. This funding will boost the Solent’s workforce, ensuring employers have access to new talent, and individuals acquire the skills to get the type of jobs that they aspire to.

Skills Bootcamps are government-funded, short courses lasting up to 16 weeks, aimed at adults aged 19 and over. These courses are co-designed with employers to ensure they meet current market demands and address local priority sectors, thereby supporting economic growth in the Solent.

- Age: Open to adults over the age of 19
- Course Type: Flexible learning options including classroom-based, on-the-job, online, and short courses.
- Cost: Funded by the government and free for those who are unemployed or self-employed. Employers sending their staff to courses will need to make a small financial contribution per learner.

- Adults looking to update or build new skills: Whether you are unemployed, self-employed, or looking to make a career change, our Bootcamps offer the training you need to succeed.
- Employers aiming to upskill their team: Shape the training courses to upskill your current team or recruit newly trained professionals. While courses are free for unemployed or self-employed individuals, employers contributing their staff will need to make a small financial contribution per learner.
We are thrilled to announce that we have secured funding to offer a Skills Bootcamp in Software Development. This Level 3 course focuses on digitally upskilling adults to address the skills gap in the tech sector.
