Build essential knowledge of cybercrime and how to protect systems and data with this focused, single unit qualification.
This course introduces learners to the key concepts of cyber security, including common threats and the practical methods used to maintain digital security. It is designed as a flexible, bite-sized qualification that can be studied on its own or combined with other units to create a broader programme of learning.

To enrol on this Adult Learning course you must be aged 18 years or over.
Learners will explore both accidental and malicious security threats to IT systems and data, gaining insight into how vulnerabilities arise and how they can be addressed. Contact adultlearning@hsdc.ac.uk for more details.
Once you have enrolled on the course, you will be allocated a tutor and assigned to your learning platform. An induction will follow and then you will be able to commence your course.
You will be assessed by submitting individual units of work and will receive feedback for each unit as you progress. There is no final exam.
On completion of this course, you will be ready for the workplace or have enhanced your existing work skills.
