Health & Science T Level Foundation

Welcome to Health & Science! This course will prepare you for T Level Health, which is based in our state of the art simulated hospital ward facility. We are really looking forward to meeting you and working with you over the next three years. Below are some links to some interesting activities, videos and reading for you to complete before you start with us.

In 300-500 words, we would like you to write a statement explaining why you would like to be a healthcare professional. Try to include evidence of your own independent reading and research into the profession in your writing.

Please bring this with you to your enrolment interview.

Find a research article about an area of healthcare that interests you, summarise it, and explain what it teaches us about modern healthcare practice.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

Your Uniform

Following feedback from employers, we have a specialist uniform which you will wear for Ward Days throughout your course. Please use the links below for uniforms – if they are out of stock, there are plenty of identical providers.

Shoes

Your shoes must be closed-toe and sturdy – think comfort over style! Converse, canvas, or ‘dolly’ style shoes are not allowed for health and safety reasons.

False eyelashes, nails and jewellery are not permitted due to health and safety and infection control risks.

Also included below is a link to buy a ‘fob watch’, a nursing staple. This isn’t a requirement, and some of you might want to buy a more special one to start your nursing career.
