Welcome to the Student Travel & Support information for 2025/2026. Our aim is to provide a travel and financial assistance scheme that offers flexibility of choice, meets our students’ needs and does not put a barrier in the way of a student accessing their education. We work with both First Bus and Stagecoach bus companies to offer student-priced bus passes and to provide as many direct routes to HSDC as possible. We also work with South-Western Railway to provide those students who wish to travel by train a reduced-cost rail pass. Further financial help towards travel and essential college costs may be available if the household is in receipt of an income-based benefit. The tutors were really supportive and it was all thanks to them that I have achieved what I have. I’ve also made loads of great friends and really enjoyed my time at the college.

Everyone at the College was really helpful, and there’s lots of facilities, meaning it’s very easy to get your work done on time, and get good grades. The teaching and support was excellent, they were always on top of it, and made sure you got work done on time and you were challenged. Everyone is friendly and its really diverse, meaning you can get involved in lots of different things.
