Havant & South Downs College Hair & Beauty students made their clients feel festive and relaxed with their seasonal pamper days.
The students at Synergy salon put on a number of luxury days over December, which included everything from manicures and pedicures to massages and a festive lunch.
Lecturer Hannah Wiggins said: “The pamper days are extremely popular ever year. The festive pamper day being the most anticipated, from September clients are eager to put their names down on the list to secure their place.
“This year we were able to host three days compared to our previous one day, so we had more to offer our clients and more assessment opportunities for our students.
“The students have performed exceptionally well. They showed utmost professionalism when dealing with the clients and performing treatments. We even had a group volunteer to take part in an afternoon pamper out of their timetabled hours! This hard work will go towards their volunteering hours they need to complete to complete their Level 2 Beauty course.”
Each pamper day was hosted by a different group of students from Level 3 Beauty, Level 2 Beauty and Level 2 Hairdressing.
Hannah added: “The students gain salon experience running a column and performing treatments. As the students host the days, they also gain great experience with client care and communication adhering to professional standards that will affect their assessment criteria.
“The main purpose of the days is to provide assessment opportunities for the students. The students were able to gain assessments and evidences in each treatment they provided allowing them to get one step closer to completing their course.”
Hannah continued to say that the salon plans to offer more pamper days throughout the year.
She added: “A huge thank you to all the students who took part and also to the members of staff and lecturers who put a lot of time and effort into the pamper days, the feedback from the clients this year was excellent!”
