Beauty students created a morning of ultimate relaxation for marketing team members and members of the public during their spring pamper morning at the end of February.
Level 3 students treated clients to a full-body massage followed by an electrical facial. The morning ended with a two-course lunch served by Catering & Hospitality students at the College Restaurant.
Pamper events at the Synergy Salon always receive high praise and this one proved to be no different. Talking about the experience, Marketing Manager Daisy Ayres said:
“I was amazed by the level of skill and professionalism shown by the students. I have been to a number of spa days and the treatments provided by HSDC students was to the same standard, if not better. The food was impressive, I enjoyed it so much that I have been telling all of my family and friends to book in! Upon speaking to the students, it is clear that the practical experience is so valuable to their learning experience and helps them to not only perfect their skill, but to also help improve their confidence and employability skills.”
Students, who are studying to earn their Level 3 Diploma, find practicing on members of the public a valuable part of the course as part of their ongoing training, as it allows them to experience what it would be like working in a busy salon environment. Many go on to work on cruise ships, in spas or large beauty companies such as Dermalogica. Many of the guests attending the Pamper Day advised they regularly book in treatments and meals at the College as the standard is so high, whilst also providing great value for money.
