Students throw their graduation caps in the air

Aspiring teachers hoping to inspire the next generation celebrated graduation success after completing Higher Education courses at HSDC.

Lecturers Pippa Millard and Lisa Portal expressed their pride as the latest cohort of Early Years and Teaching students graduated in Chichester.

After a tough time throughout the pandemic, students were ecstatic to graduate from their courses, which were taught by HSDC in partnership with the University of Chichester.

The ceremony saw 15 students graduate from the Early Childhood BA Top Up course, alongside 10 students achieving the Foundation Degree in Early Years, and six graduating with a Foundation Degree in Teaching & Learning Support.

Proud lecturers Pippa and Lisa said:

“We are extremely proud of all our students who have achieved a Foundation Degree or BA (Hons). They have all studied alongside working with young children throughout the challenging times of the pandemic and achieved excellent grades.

“Some of our students joined HSDC at the age of 16 and have progressed through our courses to achieve this success, others are mature students. We wish them all well in their chosen careers.”
