Colleges Week 2021: Get in, go further

Staff and students at HSDC are set to celebrate all of the amazing things happening across our campuses in support of Colleges Week 2021 from 18 to 22 October.

We are proud to participate in the #LoveOurColleges campaign, as it provides the perfect opportunity to highlight our wonderful teaching staff, support services, business partnerships, current students and alumni.

This year, Colleges Week has a theme of Get in, go further. ‘Get in’ aims to showcase all of the great things which happen in colleges every day, while ‘go further’ is all about the journeys that colleges take their students on and their big and small victories.

We will be sharing lots of our proud successes from the past year, as well as shouting about our facilities, courses and more throughout this week to show how we are positively impacting our communities and young people.

A Level student Catherine Goldie, who left HSDC in the summer, achieved A*A*A*A in her results and thoroughly enjoyed her time at college. Catherine said:

“I am delighted with my results and am really looking forward to studying Law at Oxford University. I really enjoyed my time at HSDC Alton and I really appreciate all the help and support from my fantastic teachers, without whom I wouldn’t have got my place at Oxford.”

Fellow student Ellie Norfolk, who achieved A*A*A, said:

“Even though studying through a pandemic has been difficult, my teachers have always been supportive and have provided varied ways of learning.”

Keep an eye on the News page of our website and our social media channels throughout this week to learn more about all of the reasons we are so proud of our three Hampshire campuses and the people who make them what they are.
