The HSDC 14-16 School Links Programme is a part time provision at South Downs Campus that bridges the gap between school and vocational education. The programmes focus on specific vocational areas, with many of the qualifications offered recognised within the Key Stage 4 league tables.
We work closely with both mainstream and special schools to offer a captivating and enjoyable variety of subjects for students to choose from.
We focus on providing students with the best opportunities through a range of vocational and academic areas, as well as the support they need to succeed. Our growing 14-16 provision allows students to make informed decisions about which courses suit their future aspirations.
The School Links Programmes help students develop the behaviour and attitude necessary to continue their education. Students will also receive high quality and impartial careers guidance, as well as the opportunity to take part in College taster sessions. Preparing them and helping them get the most out of any future education or employment.
As a College, we aim to provide support and learner progress to make sure that students make real progress towards their chosen career path. Throughout the programme students are inspired to make the most of the opportunities offered to them and to learn from their teachers and peers to achieve success.
You will need to complete an application form for each learner who wishes to apply. After this, the College will arrange a formal interview with the student and course manager, followed by an assessment.
Providing that the learner is suitable for the qualification, they will be offered a place for the following September. Unfortunately, we are unable to take new students after the start of the academic year.
