Overview

This AAT Level 3 Accounting course covers some of the more complex accounting disciplines including financial processes, Advanced bookkeeping, completing VAT returns, final accounts and ethical practices for accountants.

You will require an AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting. However, other relevant qualifications and experience will be considered on a case by case basis and discussed at interview.

On this Accounting course you will cover the following five modules:

Advanced bookkeeping
Management Accounting (costing)
Indirect Taxation
Final Accounts
Synoptic assessment to include Professional Ethics and Spreadsheets for Accounting

You will be taught in a classroom environment using simulations, e-learning and other teaching materials. Each module will be taught one at a time rather than simultaneously.

You will be assessed by a computer based assessment after each module.

You will need to purchase books at an approximate cost of £100. If you are not already registered you will need to obtain AAT membership, further information can be found at www.aat.org.uk/membership

After completing this qualification you can enter into a number of different accounting professions. You can also progress onto the Level 4 Diploma to further enhance your career potential.
