The range of skills gained and developed on the course will allow you to progress to any of our Level 3 courses. From there, you will have the opportunity to explore employment, university degrees, and Apprenticeships.

There will be a focus on gaining real- life experience by undertaking work placements to understand more about the opportunities and further study this course could lead to. A large part of this course focuses on skill progression within a range of activities but will also require a level of commitment to advance your own development outside of the normal college time. In turn, this will help provide you with the skills needed to secure a job once completing your studies.

This balanced programme offers opportunities to progress onto the Level 3 courses in sport or public services.

My experience at the college was enjoyable and productive, with thoroughly helpful people surrounding you, an excellent experience. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was, with the work shop time and experience I had, it was a great two years preparing me for the next stage.

Edward Smith, BTEC student

I overcame a couple of barriers by working really hard to get the top grades. My experience was really good, with the course and the lecturers, the residentials and activities, together it was all really good. I had really great teaching support, I could always go to the lecturers and speak to them if I needed to.

David Stenning, Public Services student

There are lots of people at the college, each studying a diverse range of courses, people from all different areas come to study here, it creates a sense of community, there is a huge social aspect to college life across all courses.
