This course is designed for those who wish to assess occupational competence in the work environment. It is intended for those who assess vocational skills knowledge and understanding in a range of environments, e.g. workplace, classroom or other training environments.
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is split into three units and you enrol onto each unit separately.
In order to be considered for this course, an informal interview will need to be undertaken with a member of the Adult Learning Team at the Havant Campus.
On this course you will be studying the following units:
Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (Unit 301)
Level 3 Award in Assessing Occupational Competence in the Work Environment (Unit 302)
Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement (Unit 303). This unit is for practitioners who assess knowledge and or skills in a vocationally related subject area, who use the following assessment methods: assessments in simulated environments, skills tests, oral and written questioning, assignments, projects, case studies and RPL. (Assessments can take place in training workshops, classrooms etc)
Each unit will comprise of a training session, tutorials, professional discussions, assessments and observations.
At HSDC, an experienced and qualified tutor will guide and support you through the complete programme as both your individual tutor and assessor. You will build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate practice, observation of practice and professional discussion.
