Overview

This qualification supports and confirms your workplace skills, knowledge and performance and does not involve sitting an examination.

You will need to have completed ITQ Level 1 or have IT skills at that level. There is a requirement that you can provide evidence or be assessed to demonstrate Level 1 English ability.

Units covered:

Word Processing Software (Microsoft Word)
Spreadsheet Software (Microsoft Excel)
Presentation Software (Microsoft PowerPoint)
Using Email (Microsoft Outlook)
Improving Productivity Using IT

This course will run for 12 weeks. two days a week.

At HSDC, an experienced and qualified tutor will guide and support you through the complete programme as both your individual tutor and assessor. You will be assessed by completion of an electronic portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and experience.

On completion of this course you will be work place ready or could progress on to any other Adult Learning course.

This course will give you a sound understanding of Microsoft applications and how they are used in today's workplace. You will be able to use the Microsoft tools that are appropriate for most job roles in today's electronic society.
