This online course is designed for anyone working in, or aspiring to work in, the adult health and social care sector. This flexible distance learning course provides essential knowledge and understanding of the key principles that underpin safe, respectful and compassionate care.
Throughout the course, you will explore important topics such as safeguarding responsibilities, the principles of dignity and the meaning and application of duty of care in professional practice.
By completing this nationally recognised qualification you will develop the confidence and awareness needed to uphold the highest standards of care and support the wellbeing of vulnerable adults in a variety of care settings.

Unit 1: Understanding safeguarding in adult health and social care,
Unit 2: Principles of dignity in adult health and social care practice,
Unit 3: Understanding duty of care in adult health and social care.
You will be assessed by submitting individual units of work and will receive feedback for each unit as you progress. There is no final exam.
This course is FREE if you meet the eligibility requirements or depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible to receive full or part funding for the course. Please do contact us and we will be happy to advise you.
On completion of this course, you will be ready for the workplace or have enhanced your existing work skills. You could progress on to any other distance learning course or look at the Level 3 options.
