A member of staff from Havant & South Downs College has completed a mammoth 201 miles through walking, running, rowing, cycling and swimming to raise money from Operation Wallacea.
Kirsty Taylor, Sports Maker at the College, took on the challenge when tasked with coming up with a fundraiser to support a educational trip to Fiji.
She said: “I am currently raising awareness and funds for the ecology and environmental education of those in developing countries. More importantly that of the Fijian Islands of Viti Levu and Vanuo Levu.
“I set the challenge of travelling the length of both these islands under my own steam, such as walking, running, rowing, cycling and swimming.”
Kirsty has now completed the challenge to give herself enough time to collect the money in.
She added: “It’s hard to get people to support fundraising efforts at this time of year.
“I wanted to do something that was not only a personal challenge but also good for the environment.
“The adverse weather we have experienced has required me to be super self motivated to get out on the bike and clock up the miles.”
Other fundraising activities going on around HSDC include a charity leg wax and a Christmas card appeal.
