Fuller’s runs nearly 200 managed pubs and hotels, with a focus on delicious, fresh, home-cooked food, outstanding cask and craft ale, great wine and exceptional service.
How many employees do you have in your business?
The company employs more than 4,000 people spread across London and the South of England.
Why have you chosen to invest the next generation through having an apprentice?
It is a great opportunity to train our chefs to reach the highest possible standard and is a top priority for us. This gives opportunities for everyone to progress through the company and have a sense of belonging to an employer who invests in its people.

Havant & South Downs College’s reputation is key in our partnership, and like our ingredients in both our food and beer, they provide us with a highly renowned product to help attract, develop and retain the best people. We are excited to say that we currently have 39 vacancies for chefs across Hampshire with Havant & South Downs College.
How has having an apprentice benefited your business?
Fuller’s ambition is to set the industry benchmark for how Apprenticeship programmes should be delivered. Our belief is that an Apprenticeship programme should focus on the quality of an individual’s development. This helps our service to customers improve with our staff development.
