Guest enjoyed five courses of festive food cooked and presented by the College’s own Catering and Hospitality students, whilst networking with like-minded business people.

Iuri Fonseca from Air Improve said: “A networking event like this is so important to our company. We get to meet lots of people from local businesses as well as having a great meal.”

Gemma Carden from Rowans Hospice said: “This is my first networking event at HSDC, I came in for something in November and was told about the Christmas Networking Lunch then and thought it was a great idea – there are so many businesses in the local area it’s great to be able to connect with them.”

Vanessa Junginger from Pink Spaghetti said: “I have been to HSDC for the Business Breakfasts for several years, I’m even taking on an apprentice from the College next year, so I am already trying to support the College and it’s great for my business.

“The food is always excellent and professionally done at these networking events and they are a great opportunity to talk to other businesses.”

Havant & South Downs College holds regular Business Breakfasts to help maintain and strengthen connections between businesses within the local area.

Aaron Butson, Director of Business Growth and Innovation said: “Today’s lunch is another example of the importance HSDC places on our relationship with employers. Having events in our fantastic student run restaurant enables us to develop ideas around curriculum design to ensure it is fit for purpose, and allow local businesses to network and build supply chain opportunities.

“HSDC will continue to run monthly business breakfast events in the new year as we continue to build strong and lasting relationships with our local business community.”
