Our Catering team and apprentice chefs continue to be busy helping out the local community.
Gemma Hammond, Hospitality Apprenticeship Assessor explains:
“Apprentice Sam Howell has been superb throughout the volunteering and is showing real commitment. He fits into the team really well, creating a fun environment in which to work. This week he and Pompey footballer Christian Burgess made chicken cacciatore and portioned it with skill and attention to detail, showing us he has gained skills and knowledge on the commis chef course – and he is putting them to such good use! Bransbury Park Butchers have again been amazing and donated some lovely pork, which we turned into Roast Pork Hong Kong Style.
“All the volunteers are doing an astounding job. Thanks to them all this #volunteersweek, especially Jeanette Warren who is our warrior! When we need something, she goes on the hunt for donations in the local community and always comes up trumps – a great asset to the team!”
