Today at HSDC’s Havant Campus, joy and jubilation were felt by students opening their A Level results, reaffirming Havant’s commitment to be HSDC’s A Level Centre of Excellence.
Ellie Blake studied Law, Psychology, Criminology and an Extended Project Qualification at Havant, achieving A, A, A*, as well as an A* in the EPQ. These fantastic results have secured Ellie’s place on a Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship with Kent Police! When asked about her time at HSDC, Ellie said:

“Consistent support from my teachers made my courses at Havant so much more enjoyable, and it really felt like a strong community. The long-term forever friends I’ve made at college will be with me for the rest of my life, and I’m so thankful for all their support.”
Issy McQuillian studied English Literature, Classics and Media Studies at Havant, achieving A, A, B, and will be starting a degree in Media, Journalism and Publishing at Oxford Brookes. Speaking about her results, Issy said:
“I am so happy with my results, I really did not predict this! I want to thank my teachers, who have been absolutely fantastic and always supportive. They were always quick to mark and provide feedback on my work, keeping me moving forward.”
Also at Havant was Dylan Warner, who achieved A, B, B in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, and will be going on to study Medicine at Anglia Ruskin University. Dylan said:

“Meeting new and like-minded people has been a real highlight of my time at college. My teachers have been especially helpful, and I am so pleased with my results. If you’re starting at Havant this year, enjoy the ride and make good friends!”
Honey Hillage achieved an A* in Photography, A in Psychology and a B in English, and plans to work abroad for a year before studying Psychology and Neuroscience at Manchester Metropolitan University. When asked if she had any advice for students joining HSDC in September, Honey said:
“As long as you work hard to keep on top of the work, you will succeed. The teachers will make you feel very supported, even outside of the classroom! Try and make new friends as well, it will make settling into college life a lot easier.”

Honey Hillage celebrated fantastic results in Photography, Psychology and English.
Jayden Donnelly studied A Levels in Law, Criminology and Business, attaining A, A, B! These incredible results stand him in good stead for the future as he seeks to begin a detective apprenticeship. Jayden was full of praise for his teachers in helping him to achieve these results, saying:
“Never have I felt more believed in than I did whilst at Havant. The teachers are absolutely brilliant, and I always felt comfortable when going to them for help. I have also made friends for life during my time here, showing me the importance of having fun alongside my studies.”
We are also very proud to announce that three Havant students have secured their places at Oxford University and Cambridge University, highlighting the true academic quality on display at HSDC.
