Results Day celebrations were held at South Downs Campus today, where students on a range of vocational and technical courses opened the results that they had waited all summer for.
Malia Lodge achieved fantastic results in Musical Theatre, and said:
“The teachers here are so lovely, you form really close bonds with them. They push you in a way that helps you improve, rather than in an overwhelming way. The course was so much fun, and I’ve made so many friends who I love!”
Meanwhile Johanna Thompson, who achieved a Merit in her Nursing T Level and is going on to study Midwifery at the University of Surrey, said:

“The social life at South Downs has been absolutely amazing, it’s been so good to meet a fantastic bunch of people who I’ll be friends with for life. Being able to study something that I love whilst achieving a qualification has also been a great part of coming here. College is a big change, but don’t be nervous! Trust the process, and know that at South Downs, the teachers will be there to support you every step of the way.”
Arya Patel was ecstatic to achieve a Distinction in the Healthcare Science T Level, and has accepted an unconditional offer to study Medicine at a medical school abroad! Speaking about her time at South Downs, Arya said:

“I absolutely loved the practical side of my course, it really helped me to develop my specialist knowledge. The teachers definitely gave me a lot of work to do, but they also gave me the freedom to plan my own revision, and would even structure their own lessons around our own studies. Don’t forget to work hard to achieve the results, but also have fun during your time here!”
These stories highlight the many different pathways that studying at South Downs Campus can offer. From direct employment, to university and apprenticeships, whatever your future goals, South Downs is here to make them a reality.
