The Exceptional Story Of HSDC’s Early Years T Level

September 1, 2025

HSDC is a College that is dedicated to providing its students with innovative education that will prepare them effectively for the world of work. More recently, this has come in the form of the College’s embrace of T Levels, a qualification developed in collaboration with employers to keep up with the ever-changing demands of industry.

T Levels have been a resounding success since being implemented at HSDC, particularly the Education & Childcare course. This is a two-year qualification, produced in partnership with employers including Action for Children, that seeks to prepare students for a career in the education sector.

Since HSDC began running this T Level, the Education & Childcare students have been achieving exceptionally high results.

This year, students on HSDC’s T Level in Education & Childcare achieved a fantastic 100% pass rate, with nearly half achieving the highest grades of Distinction and Merit. As well as this, a student at Alton College attained a very rare Distinction* (the equivalent of three A*s at A Level), highlighting our commitment to the exceptional delivery of this technical qualification.

The potential career progression that comes from achieving a T Level in Education & Childcare is a strong pathway of professional development in a sector that makes a true difference. From studying education at university, to going into teaching, safeguarding or local government, this qualification ensures that all its students are truly prepared for the world of work.

HSDC’s incredible results in the Education and Childcare T Level is a testament to both the teaching quality at the College, and the individual determination of every student on the course.
