HSDC proudly welcomed Phil Yeomans, Executive Chef of the renowned Lainston House Hotel, for an exclusive guest chef-takeover at 74 South, the College’s industry-standard training restaurant at South Downs Campus.
Chef Yeomans delivered an exceptional fine-dining menu for guests whilst mentoring HSDC’s catering and hospitality students. Members of the public were invited into the restaurant to enjoy a delicious menu of Sticky Pulled Beef Cheek, Cured Trout and Hampshire Venison, reflecting the precision and creativity for which Phil is widely recognised.
With a career spanning prestigious kitchens including The Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane, Phil brought a level of professional expertise that enriched the learning experience of every student involvement, aligning seamlessly with HSDC’s mission to develop confident, industry-ready talent.
The guest-chef event reinforced HSDC’s position as a provider of high-quality, employer-relevant technical education grounded in genuine industry practice. HSDC’s hospitality and catering curriculum is built around genuine collaboration with employers and experts.
