Alton College Foundation

Need extra help?

Take a look at Alton College Foundation who might be able to help you if you study at Alton Campus. It gives money for extra costs related to your study that our College or the Government can’t provide. The Foundation is an independent registered charity (not part of HSDC). The idea behind it is to support and encourage effort and excellence. With help from the Foundation, you can develop your talents and enrich your life.

Scholarships for Excellence

The Scholarship scheme aims to raise the already high standards at Alton Campus by encouraging excellence.  It is open to first year students with the minimum requirement being that you must have completed at least one term at the College before being considered. We do however encourage applications for Scholarships being made prior to joining the College.

We also offer, in partnership with The Arts Society Alton, a special Art Scholarship for all Art Foundation students.

The closing date each year is 15 November. We then shortlist with the aim of interviewing and selecting Scholars in December and January

Development Fund

Grants are awarded to full time students, aged 16-19, studying at Alton Campus. The grant scheme awards individual students or groups of students up to £500, to be used for specific activities such as additional tuition, field trips or items of equipment associated with their studies.
