Designed for Learning

Our timetable has been carefully planned to maximise your ability to concentrate and learn effectively.
Academic research shows that more frequent lessons improve retention, so you’ll have three lessons per subject each week instead of two.

Responding to Students

Our students told us they wanted time between lessons to study on campus using our facilities. Many find it easier to complete homework here than at home, especially when working with friends. They also wanted time to socialise and enjoy college life, so we’ve built that into the schedule and expanded enrichment opportunities through our Be Extraordinary programme.

There is no such thing as ‘trapped time’.

The timetable finishes early on Wednesdays, giving you time to take part in Team Sports or other enrichment activities. Shorter sessions also create more opportunities for support sessions and participation in our Academic Extension programme to strengthen your study skills and boost your success.

The campus opens at 08:30, giving you time to prepare for lessons. Breakfast items and refreshments are available in Eat Central.

Simplicity

Lessons start no earlier than 09:40 and finish no later than 16:20, making travel straightforward using our public transport options.

All students share the same lunchtime, so you can spend time with friends even if you study different subjects.
