Student success at Havant Campus

HSDC Havant A Level students have a 99% pass rate, with more than three-quarters of our students achieving high grades.

More students studying ‘facilitating’ A Level subjects* achieved AAB grades or higher compared to other local colleges such as Portsmouth College or Highbury College.

With such good A Level results and extracurricular activities, it’s no wonder that many of our students progress to study at leading Russell Group universities. Equally, with the range of transferable skills gained at college, students also have the option to go straight into employment or to a Higher Apprenticeship.

So far this year, 61 Havant and South Downs students have applied to Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine and Veterinary courses.

Annaliese Kattenhorn

After two years of hard work studying Law, Business Studies, Mathematics and a year of the Extended Project Qualification, Annaliese Kattenhorn achieved three A*s and a C. Looking forward to the future, Annaliese said:

“I’m so excited to be able to continue my studies at Surrey University for Law especially after the year everyone has faced.

“I am delighted with my results which were made possible by the fantastic teachers at Havant.”

Conall Templeman

Conall Templeman studied Mathematics, Physics, Fine Art, Extended Project Qualification and an AS Level in Further Mathematics, achieving three A* grades and two As.

He said: “Thanks to all the support I received, even throughout lockdown last year, I am very happy with my results.”

Achieving these results means Conall is now heading off to Imperial College London to study Design Engineering.
