Increase your employability with a vocational course.
Vocational courses (often referred to as BTEC courses) are great if you’re a hands-on learner. They concentrate on teaching you the practical skills you need to successfully transition from education to full time employment.
HSDC has a wide variety of vocational courses, offering subjects ranging from Animal Care and Engineering to Performing Arts and Public Services.
Our vocational courses are taught at both our Alton and South Downs campuses, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn using industry standard equipment.
Our lecturers are subject experts, committed to making sure your lessons are inspiring and engaging. The vocational courses differ from traditional ‘school style’ lessons by giving you a mix of classroom based theory sessions and hands-on practical lessons. Giving you the chance to practice your skills in realistic work based environments.
In addition to being excellent teachers, our lecturers understand the skills you need to achieve your aspirations. We’re incredibly passionate about employability and give you the opportunity to meet successful alumni, attend careers events and undertake work experience – all to help you land your dream job.
Vocational courses are available at a range of levels. This means you can be confident that you’ll find a course to suit your abilities.
