All Full Time students are eligible to purchase an online discounted student bus pass via the First Group mTicket App (mobile phone bus pass) and Stagecoach website. The student pass will allow you to travel for a much cheaper cost. Additional financial help (a partial refund) towards online bus passes may be available to Full Time students (not including Higher Education courses) who are aged 16-19 and live in certain postcode areas and are still enrolled on their course of study at the end of the first full term. This is called a ‘Travel Subsidy’; if you are eligible for this, the College will contact you near the end of the Autumn Term.
Full Time students who wish to travel by train, may apply for a termly rail pass. The train pass will be at a discounted price (compared to standard priced fares). A further reduction to the cost, will be made by the college towards all rail passes.
You can purchase a termly train pass via the college’s online payment system, Wisepay (click here) and enter your login details – continuing students may use their existing login details.
If you do not know your details, please contact Finance on 023 9279 7991 (option 6). Once you have entered your details, click on General Payments and select the Train Pass options for Havant or South Downs.
You can collect your pass from the Student Travel & Support office. Please remember to bring a passport style photo with you.

First Group are withdrawing plastic bus passes across their network; First Bus mTickets is an App that allows you to buy and load bus tickets to your mobile phone. This means that you cannot lose your pass and you will no longer have to pay for replacements. If you lose or change your phone, just download the App to the new phone, log in to your account and simply press ‘refresh’ and your ticket is reloaded. An internet connection is not required when you are using the ticket, a data connection is only needed for the initial purchase.
All bus passes for Havant & South Downs College can be downloaded on the First Bus mTicket app (please note this is a separate app from the First Bus main app). It is important that you register for the mobile pass in the student’s name and the student’s college email address – please do not use a personal email address, otherwise your mTicket may not work. Your college email address is displayed on the front of the covering letter.
