Havant & South Downs College (HSDC) has embarked on an exciting new partnership with Fuller, Smith and Turner, the London Brewer and premium pub company.

This means that the College will be delivering all their chef apprenticeship training across East Hampshire in several of their public house establishments.

There are more than 20 vacancies across the region – so what are you waiting for? The recruitment process started this week and closes after Christmas, and one of those places could be yours. All successful apprentices will be starting their culinary journey in March 2018.

Aaron Butson, Director of Business and Growth at HSDC, said: “This is an amazing opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a chef.

“Fuller’s is a fantastic company to work with and the College is delighted to be in this partnership with such a prestigious company.”

Fuller’s runs nearly 200 Managed Pubs and Hotels, with a focus on delicious fresh, home-cooked food, outstanding cask and craft ale, great wine and exceptional service. Not only that, but the company employs more than 4,000 people spread across London and the South of England.

Fuller’s People Director, David Hoyle, stressed that their chef training programme is of the utmost importance to the business.

He said: “It is a great opportunity to train our chefs to reach the highest possible standard and a top priority for us.

“This gives opportunities for everyone to progress through the Company and have a sense of belonging to an employer who invests in its people.

“We are delighted to work with HSDC on this project and very much look forward to developing this relationship with a College of such high standards in catering.”
