Bourne Community College’s GCSE science students had a great visit to our Havant campus yesterday. The group took part in quantitative tests to identify unknown substances. Many of these students are hoping to go on to study Science at A level and this visit gave them an insight into the facilities and teaching at our Havant campus.
Bourne Assistant Headteacher Charlie Colley arranged the event and said; “This visit has allowed our students to see what it is like at HSDC. It’s the transition between GCSEs and A levels and experiencing Chemistry, and Sciences in general, which makes this such a great opportunity. It was also great for my group to meet current HSDC students including a former Bourne student, this really highlighted the progression from GCSE to A levels, to university and to a fantastic career.”
