Progress Evenings

Monitoring Student Progress

For full-time students, academic progress information is available through the MyHSDC App.

The Individual Learning Plan (ILP) tile provides access to information including:

  • Academic targets and goals.
  • Teacher feedback and comments.
  • Attendance and engagement information.

Students and parents/carers are encouraged to review this information regularly to support progress and achievement throughout the year.

Progress Events (Parent Consultation Evenings)

HSDC holds Progress Events (Parent Consultation Evenings) throughout the academic year. Dates are published on the College website here.

These events provide an opportunity for curriculum staff to discuss a student’s:

  • Academic progress.
  • Attendance and engagement.
  • Behaviour and conduct.
  • Targets and support requirements.

Progress Events are primarily teacher-led, and appointments may be arranged where curriculum staff feel a discussion would be beneficial.

Parents/carers do not need to wait for a scheduled Progress Event and are encouraged to contact teachers, tutors or Student Progress Mentors at any stage during the year should they wish to discuss a student’s progress, wellbeing or support needs.
